Blessings From Heaven

Little Rhees was blessed by his father David, and given the name Rhees Eric Marchant on May 28th, 2006 in Sacrament Meeting. He was supported by his Grandpa Rush, Uncle Ryan Rush, Great Grandpa Payne, Great Uncles: Joel Rush, Fale Puila, and Bob Payne; he also had support from Bishop Hanson, and President Shaw. True to what seems to be blessing day tradition, Rhees promptly soiled himself right before the blessing. He was not fussy and did not require a pacifier during the blessing. However, after the blessing his father left the meeting to lighten his diposition. The blessing outfit was not daddy-friendly, or mommy-friendly for that matter. There were no snaps, just normal dress buttons on the back, and only to widen the neck. After wrestling with the outfit and stashing it to the side, daddy unleashed the heavily soiled diaper which had leaked onto the onesie. The lesson learned: carry extra clothing. Luckily the outfit had been saved, but dad went back into sacrament meeting with little Rhees wrapped in his blanket, naked except for his diaper. He pulled mom out of the meeting insisting that it was time to exit prematurely, but mom decided that since the outfit had not been soiled that he could carry on with his blessing outfit only. He will never wear that wretched thing ever again!
