A few weeks ago Rhees told me that he wanted a puppy for his birthday (totally unprompted by me I promise!) I told David his birthday wish and he LOVED the idea. We started looking for a puppy. During our hunt Rhees changed his mind and decided he wanted a swing set instead. David tried and tried to change his mind but it was all in vain. So, still in love with the idea of a puppy, we kept looking and decided that David's birthday is in a month so maybe if we find a good puppy we'll get him one for his birthday. We found a litter of lab/malamute puppies for sale, so we contacted the owners to see if they had any girls. They have one girl and they emailed us the pictures. David fell in love with her the moment he saw her. So, tomorrow we are driving 5 hours (one way) to pick up David's birthday present. Presently her name is Sugar but we will be changing it. Feel free to leave suggestions! (note: we tend to stay away from people names for dogs....cause what if you make friends with someone who has the same name as your dog....weird.)

I always wanted a dog named Polka- Dot but that doesn't sound like your style. Just name her Saurs Rex and Rhees will like her.

I hope she is as snuggly and soft as she looks! Oh, and I think you should name her Nali, you know, like after the Denali mountain in Alaska. Did you know Denali means "The Great One?" Have fun with your cute, little great one!
