Today I put Rhees into his highchair for a Halloween treat he so sweetly begged for. I poured a few Mini M&M's onto his tray which he happily began to chow down. Soon I hear him whinning and figured he had eaten them all and wanted more. However, when I looked at him he had a finger shoved up his nostril. Upon removal of the finger from the nostril I noticed that Rhees has a dark brown ring of color just inside one nostril and a orange ring inside the other. Taking a closer look l saw that an orange Mini M&M was lodged up his nose.....hence the whinning. Rhees is actually pretty good an blowing his nose for an 18 month old, so when I told him to blow into a tissue he blew so hard that he shot the orange Mini M&M as least two feet. Rhees thought this was awesome.
I checked to be sure that there wasn't a brown M&M stuck up there too, and then told Rhees "No, No. Don't put things in your nose." I assumed he understood because he pointed to his own nose and said, "No, No, No." However, at dinner Rhees tried to see how many peas he could fit up his nose. I am unsure of the final count and what happened to th peas after Rhees put them up his nose. Hmmm..... what food can you feed to a todder that won't fit up a nostril?
